16 Constant-Current Output Channels The TLC592x is designed for LED displays and LED lighting applications with open-load, shorted-load, and Output Current Adjusted By External Resistor over temperature detection, and constant-current Constant Output Current Range: 5 mA to 120 mA control. The TLC592x contains a 16-bit shift register Constant Output Current Invariant to Load Voltage and data latches, which convert serial input data into Change parallel output format. At the TLC592x output stage, 16 regulated-current ports provide uniform and Open-Load and Shorted-Load Detection constant current for driving LEDs within a wide range 256-Step Programmable Global Current Gain of VF (forward voltage) variations.
Used in systems:
- Excellent Output Current Accuracy: designed for LED display applications (for example, LED panels)
- TLC592x provides great flexibility and Between Channels: < ±6% (Max), device performance.
- Users can adjust the output 10 mA to 50 mA current from 5 mA to 120 mA through an external – Between ICs: < ±6% (Max), 10 mA to 50 mA resistor, Rext, which gives flexibility in controlling the 30-MHz Maximum Clock Frequency light intensity of LEDs.
- The TLC592x is designed for up to 17 V at the output port. The high clock Schmitt-Trigger Input frequency, 30 MHz, also satisfies the system 3.3-V or 5-V Supply Voltage requirements of high-volume data transmission.
